Ashok Leyland bags multiple defence order worth ₹700 cr
Ashok Leyland has secured multiple defence orders worth over ₹700 crore. The contracts include the supply of specialised vehicles for troop transportation, logistics, and mobility requirements under the Close-in Weapon Systems (CIWS) programme.
Deliveries are set to begin in the next financial year, according to a statement.

The newly awarded contracts cover a range of advanced mobility solutions, including the Stallion 4×4, Stallion 6×6, Short Chassis Bus, and Mobility System Travelling Platform. These vehicles are designed to provide superior reliability and off-road capability, ensuring operational efficiency in the country’s toughest terrains.

In Q3 of this fiscal, the company’s defence revenue stood at ₹100 crore.
