Sigachi Industries Blast: Many injured, few feared to death at Hyd plant

Medak: Smoke rises after a fire broke out following a reactor explosion at Sigachi Chemical Industry in Pashamailaram, resulting in the death of at least 10 people, in Medak district, Telangana, Monday, June 30, 2025.

Over a dozen workers are critically injured and some are feared dead in a major blast at Sigachi Industries manufacturing plant here.

According to police, the blast occurred in the early hours of Monday in the company’s manufacturing unit located in Pashmylaram industrial area here.

The building in which the blast occurred has been totally damaged and 11 fire-tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire. 

The injured have been rushed to nearby private hospitals and further investigation is on. Sagachi Industries scrip lost 9 per cent on the BSE and is trading at ₹49.71 by noon.
