Coromandel Intl gets CCI nod for buying 53% stake in NACL Industries
The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved Coromandel International’s proposal to acquire a majority stake in NACL Industries. The Murugappa group company approached the CCI early this year proposing to acquire 10.68 crore shares, constituting 53.13 per cent of the paid-up equity share capital of NACL Industries.Â
These shares were acquired from key entities, including KLR Products, K. Lakshmi Raju (a promoter of NACL), and Bright Town Investment Advisor (a member of the promoter/promoter group of NACL).
In addition to the promoter shares, Coromandel also acquired two sets of shares from public shareholders, including 5,500 shares each from Krishi Rasayan Exports and Agro Life Science Corporation, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
