Adani Energy Solutions acquires WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission for green power evacuationĀ

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has completed the acquisition of 100 per cent equity shares in WRNES Talegaon Power Transmission Ltd through a share purchase agreement executed today. The acquisition was made from REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) at a face value of ā¹10 per share.
The acquired company, incorporated on November 16, 2024, operates as a transmission service provider in the electric utilities sector. WRNES has an authorised and paid-up share capital of ā¹5 lakh each, with no recorded turnover as it is a recently established entity.
The acquisition aligns with AESLās strategy to enhance shareholder value through organic and inorganic growth opportunities. The transmission company will play a crucial role in evacuating 1.5 GW of green power from upcoming hydro pumped storage projects in the region, specifically serving demand from Mumbai and surrounding areas.
AESL disclosed that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction, with no promoter or group company interest in the acquired entity. The acquisition required no governmental or regulatory approvals and was completed through cash consideration.
The shares of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) ended today at ā¹867.80 down by ā¹13.15 or 1.49 per cent on the NSE.
