Anant Ambani appointed as Executive Director on RIL board

Reliance Industries said its Board of Directors, on the recommendation of the Human Resources, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, considered and appointed Anant Ambani, a Non-Executive Director of the company as Whole-time Director designated as Executive Director for a period of five years with effect from May 1.Â
This is a significant move toward the elevation of the younger Ambani scion and another step in the overall succession plan in the conglomerate.Â
