Asus eyes number one position in commercial PCs by 2027

Computers and technology devices maker, Asus on Tuesday said that it is targeting to be the leader in the commercial segment in the next two-three years, especially with new product launches in the coming years.

In the last two years, the company has seen a huge jump in sales and the company is also starting contract manufacturing with VVDN Technologies in a new plant from Wednesday in Manesar (Haryana) for its commercial personal computers (PC), a top official said.

“We see new products coming out this year and we see a huge jump and that is the reason why our headquarter thinks it is the right time to increase our investment in sales and marketing. Across APAC countries, we have 50 to 100 per cent manpower increase in the commercial PC team and in most countries (in APAC), our goal is to become the number one commercial PC brand by 2027,” Rex Lee, Vice President, Head of APAC, Commercial PC Business at Asus Global told businessline on the sidelines of new launches here.

However, Lee declined to give details on value of investment.

He said that one of the reasons for growth in the Indian market was because of better reach – with Asus computers available in around 14,900 pin codes across India – and also more than 200 service centres with end-to-end solutions.

The company meanwhile launched AI-powered ExpertBook P Series laptops in India, designed for businesses and professionals, powered by high performance, high durability, better battery backup, seamless expandability, enterprise-grade security and enterprise-grade service support.

The products will be available on Flipkart, and its quick commerce arm, Flipkart Minutes, the company said. The products will be available from April 21 and prices start at ₹39,990 for the ExpertBook P1, ₹64,990 for the ExpertBook P3, and ₹94,990 for the ExpertBook P5.
