Emmvee, a manufacturer of high-quality solar photovoltaic panels and modules, has inaugurated its new facility at Sulibele, near Bengaluru International Airport in Karnataka. With this expansion, the company has added 2.0 GWp of module capacity, bringing its total to approximately 6.6 GWp in PV modules and 2.5 GWp in solar cells.

Speaking on the inauguration, DV Manjunatha, Chairman and Managing Director, said, The new manufacturing unit covers nearly 4 lakh square feet and will accommodate more than 500 new team members, including core engineering professionals, senior management, factory operations, and administrative staff.

Emmvee currently has a workforce of over 2,000, and the new hires will further add to its strength.

We are not merely increasing capacity but also enhancing our technological advancements and business operations. The unit is designed with advanced automation, multiple level of quality control and is versatile to produce different module sizes and formats.”

Earlier, the company had announced its plans to invest ₹15,000 crore in Karnataka in a phased manner to establish a manufacturing plant. In the first phase, it will invest ₹5,000 crore to set up a facility with a 5 GW power generation capacity, creating 10,000 jobs. Emmvee Energy has sought 120 acres of land in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR) for the project, and the government will facilitate the request after due consideration.
