Enviro Infra Engineers Limited (EIEL) announced yesterday that it has secured a ₹400 crore project from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for pollution control of the Panchganga River. The project marks the company’s entry into the Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) space.

The contract involves upgrading Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) with advanced ZLD technology across three co-operative industrial estates in Kolhapur district: Ichalkaranji, Hatkanangale, and Yadrav. The scope includes design, supply, installation, construction, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance of the facilities.

The project features advanced wastewater treatment technologies including ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, and Multiple Vapor Recompression (MVR). EIEL has 24 months to complete the assignment, which is part of MIDC’s river pollution abatement program.

“Securing this project marks a pivotal moment for us, as we enter the Zero Liquid Discharge space with a technically advanced, environmentally significant assignment,” said Sanjay Jain, Chairman of EIEL. The project also expands the company’s geographical presence in Maharashtra.

EIEL, listed on NSE and BSE, is an EPC company specializing in water and wastewater treatment plants with over 15 years of experience. The company operates across India, handling projects for government authorities including sewage treatment plants, sewerage schemes, and common effluent treatment plants.
