Exxaro Tiles, one of the leading manufacturers of vitrified and glazed tiles, plans to install 5 MW solar power project at Gorol, Gujarat.

The solar project, set up on leased land for 25 years and 4 months, is dedicated to captive consumption for the company’s manufacturing unit at Talod, Gujarat.

The plant currently consumes around 21 million electricity units annually. With solar energy now supplementing operations, the company expects to save about ₹6 crore per annum, translating to a 30 per cent reduction in energy costs at the unit.

Mukeshkumar B Patel, Managing Director, Exxaro Tiles said that the solar project is a major step in aligning our business operations with global sustainability goals.

It not only strengthens our cost-efficiency but also demonstrates our commitment to clean energy and environmental responsibility, he said.

Exxaro Tiles specialises in the production of double charge vitrified tiles, glazed vitrified tiles, polished glazed vitrified tiles, wall tiles and ceramic products, big format slab tiles

Exxaro Tiles operates two modern manufacturing facilities located at Talod and Padra in Gujarat.

These plants have a combined installed capacity of 1.32 crore square meters per annum. The facilities are equipped with advanced machinery, robotic automation and environmentally conscious manufacturing practices.

It has a robust distribution network of over 2,000 dealers and six display centres across major cities. Exxaro exports its products to over 15 countries, including the US, Canada, African Continent, Gulf countries, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, Nepal, among others.
