Flipkart sees another wave of leadership exits
Flipkart has been streamlining operations and has seen executives leave over the past year. In a recent development, the company has witnessed the exit of several top executives, including Ravi Vijayraghavan (SVP & CDAO), Harsh Chaudhary (VP Growth), Sandeep Karwa (VP Ads Platform), and Mayur Datar (SVP, Chief Data Scientist), according to sources.
This comes at a time when Jeyandran Venugopal, the chief product and technology officer (CPTO) at Walmart-owned Flipkart is also set to depart, businessline had reported earlier.
Flipkart did not reply to businessline’s queries.
In Recent months, Flipkart has restructured its leadership and operations because of exits of long-time excutives. In August last year its VP and Fashion head Arief Mohamad quit and Myntra’s CEO Nandita Sinha took over operation.
Other departures include key leaders such as Amitesh Jha (marketpkace and categories), Ayyappan R (Cleartrip head), Dheeraj A (fintech and payments head), Bharath Ram (growth and retention) and Sandeep Kolhi (data centres head).
In May last year, Flipkart had raised around $350 million from tech giant Google in its $950 million round, at a valuation of $36 billion. The company is preparing to shift its domicile back to India from Singapore ahead of a planned domestic IPO.
