State-run GAIL on Wednesday reported a marginal 1.3 per cent y-o-y growth in its consolidated net profit at ₹2,506 crore in Q4FY25 dragged down by high expenses and losses in its petrochemicals business neutralising gains from LPG and natural gas transmission services.

However, the net profit of the country’s largest gas utility fell by almost 39 per cent on a sequential basis, which was due to a one-time gain from an arbitration award in Q3FY25.

The company’s Board recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per equity share for FY25, which is in addition to the interim dividend of ₹6.50 per share, Gail incurred a capex of ₹10,512 crore during the last financial year.

Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, of GAIL (India), attributed the performance in FY25 to better physical and financial performance across all major segments.

“Despite challenges in the global economy, our company had a landmark year, reaching unprecedented financial milestones and achieving the highest-ever EBITDA, PBT and PAT in GAIL’s history,” he noted.
