GCMMF to achieve ₹1 lakh cr turnover in FY26: Chairman Shamalbhai Patel

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which currently collects more than 300 lakh litres of milk daily, will achieve a turnover of ₹1 lakh core turnover this financial year, said, Shamalbhai Patel, Chairman, GCMMF, the umbrella body of milk cooperatives in Gujarat that owns the Amul-brand.
Pointing out that the 18600 village-level milk cooperatives under GCMMF collects over 300 lakh litres of milk daily and has helped achieve a turnover of ₹90,000 crore, Patel said, “It is a matter of pride that Amul is the first dairy brand in India which has launched fresh milk in markets in United States and Spain. It is also working to further this initiative in other countries of Europe.”
“I am hopeful that this year, we will be able to achieve a turnover of ₹1 lakh crore,” the GCMMF Chairman said during an event in Anand, Gujarat, where Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah was present. During the occasion, Amit Shah also inauguratedKhatraj cheese plant where the capacity to produce Amul mozzarella cheese has been increased to 20 MT per day.
At the same plant, the capacities of UHT milk has been increased to 3 lakh litres per day, and yogurt to 5 lakh metric tonne per day. The expansions have been carried out at a cost of ₹260 crore. The capacity of Amul’s chocolate plant at Mogar has also been doubled at a cost of ₹105 crore.
