Godrej Enterprises to invest ₹200 crore more in Dahej facility
Godrej Enterprises Group will invest an additional ₹200 crore to expand its manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat. The expansion is aimed at strengthening the process of equipment manufacturing.
The company had earlier infused ₹300 crore in the manufacturing plant. The Phase-III expansion will focus on increasing the annual manufacturing capacity to approximately 30,000 MT with an increase in production space, the development of dust-free enclosure for manufacturing exotic materials, dedicated bays for internals manufacturing, and the development of extended manufacturing yards.
Seventy per cent of the production from the facility is exported to over 40 countries across six continents, with a strong focus on the Americas and the Middle East.
“This expansion aims at developing capability and capacity in manufacturing high-end and critical process equipment including for sectors like hydrogen, nuclear, and geothermal energy along with conventional energy projects like refinery and petrochemicals,” the company stated.
