Hardeep Singh Brar quits Kia India, likely to join BMW Group

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and National Head of Sales & Marketing at Kia India, has quit the company and is likely to join BMW Group India as the Country Head.

Sources have confirmed businessline that Brar has resigned from the company, and June 30 will be his day at Kia.

Brar joined Kia India in March 2021 and since then steered the company to heights — whether in achieving growth, becoming the fastest brand to achieve one-million milestone in the Indian automotive history.

During his tenure only, the South Korean brand launched all its successive models starting with the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, EV6, Carnival, Syros and most recently Carens Clavis.

“He (Brar) has stepped down from his role as Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) at Kia India effective from the close of June 30, 2025 to seek better opportunity outside the company,” a source aware of the development said.

Brar who has worked for more than two decades in the auto industry, had joined from Great Wall Motors, a Chinese automobile firm, which could not kick off in India due to geopolitical issues.

Before that he has worked in companies including General Motors, Nissan, Volkswagen, and Maruti Suzuki India.
