L&T Technology Services has secured a multi-year strategic engineering partnership with TRATON GROUP, one of the world’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, the Indian engineering services company announced Tuesday.

The collaboration will see LTTS provide engineering support across TRATON’s global R&D transformation initiative, encompassing mechanical and software engineering, as well as digital systems integration. Work will be conducted across development hubs in Sweden, Germany, the United States, Poland, and India.

TRATON, which owns brands including Scania, MAN, International, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus, is restructuring its global R&D operations to achieve cross-brand synergies while increasing its battery-electric vehicle portfolio. The company aims to meet 2029 profitability and sustainability targets.

LTTS will support the development of software-defined vehicle architectures, electrified powertrains, autonomous and advanced driver assistance systems, and digital engineering toolchains under the partnership.

“Being selected by TRATON GROUP is a testament to LTTS’ leadership in next-generation Mobility engineering,” said Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President of Mobility & Tech at LTTS.

The deal strengthens LTTS’ position in the mobility sector, where it serves 69 Fortune 500 companies. The company operates 23 global design centres and employs over 24,250 people worldwide as of March 2025.

The shares of L&T Technology Services Limited ended today on the NSE at ₹4,322.90 down by ₹31.30 or 0.72 per cent.
