McDonald’s to set up Global Office in Hyderabad with 2k employees, soon

US food giant McDonald’s will set up a Global Office in Hyderabad with 2,000 employees. The announcement was made during Mcdonald’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski’s meeting with Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

“The Telangana Government has closed a major partnership spanning several areas, which includes the establishment of a Global Office and Global Capability Centre (GCC),” a Chief Minister’s Office statement said on Thursday.

Kempczinski was accompanied by Skye Anderson, President of Global Business Services; Jon Banner, Chief Global Impact Officer; and Deshant Kaila, Head of GBS India.

“Kempczinski explained that Hyderabad was selected over other competing cities like Bangalore because of the high-quality talent, better infrastructure, and superior quality of living,” the statement said.

The Chief Minister asked the company to consider sourcing the entire agriculture produce required by it locally to help farmers augment their incomes.

He informed the US delegation Chief Minister Revanth Reddy that Young India Skills University, which was launched by the State Government recently, would help the company in finding the right talent.
