NSE/BSE, Top Gainers & Top Losers Today 14 May 2025: Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints in focus


Share prices of Tata Steel Ltd, Eternal Energy Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd emerged as the top gainers on Wednesday.

Among the laggards were shares of Asian Paints Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank, NTPC Ltd., and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

The BSE Sensex edged up by 182.34 points or 0.22 per cent to close at 81,330.56, while the NSE Nifty 50 advanced 88.55 points or 0.36 per cent to settle at 24,666.90. Metal and auto stocks led the gains, with broader markets outperforming the benchmark indices.

Top Gainers

Tata Steel led the rally, rising 3.88 per cent to ₹155.30 on strong buying interest in metal counters.

Eternal Energy gained 2.18 per cent to end at ₹236.80, while Tech Mahindra climbed 2.02 per cent to ₹1,604.25.

Mahindra & Mahindra rose 1.56 per cent to ₹3,101.65 and Maruti Suzuki added 1.50 per cent to ₹12,672.00.

Top Losers

Asian Paints was the top loser, falling 1.78 per cent to ₹2,283.65, amid a weak demand outlook in the decorative paints segment.

Tata Motors slipped 1.26 per cent to ₹699.00, while Kotak Bank declined 1.11 per cent to ₹2,092.40.

NTPC fell 0.85 per cent to ₹338.85 and Power Grid lost 0.84 per cent to close at ₹296.05.

The market largely traded within a narrow range through the session, with metal and auto stocks lending support. Broader indices continued their positive momentum, outperforming the large-cap benchmarks.
