Top gainers

IndusInd Bank emerged as the session’s top gainer, rising 2.94 per cent to ₹656.05, supported by strong buying interest in banking stocks. HCL Technologies followed, gaining 0.43 per cent to close at ₹1,633.30.

Top losers

NTPC led the laggards, declining 3.54 per cent to ₹354.15 as investors booked profits. Zomato tumbled 3.10 per cent to ₹203.30, extending its recent losses.

The day’s losses were largely driven by weakness in financial and technology stocks, as concerns over potential U.S. tariff policies prompted cautious trading.
