Ordnance Equipment Factory receives Transfer of Technology for Su-30 Brake Parachute


Ordnance Equipment Factory (OEF) has received the Transfer of Technology (ToT) from DRDO for the advanced brake parachute system of the Su-30 aircraft.

The Su-30 brake parachute is a critical component that ensures safe landing deceleration. The technology transfer was handed over by Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence, on the sidelines of Aero India 2024.

Commenting on the technology transfer, Sanjay Seth emphasised the importance of this milestone in line with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. He lauded the expertise and efforts of OEF Hazratpur in producing world-class defence equipment that meets the stringent requirements of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

OEF Hazratpur specialises in designing and manufacturing advanced textile-based defense solutions, including various aerial delivery systems and brake parachutes.
