PepsiCo India reports double-digit organic revenue growth in 2024

PepsiCo on Tuesday said that its India business recorded double-digit organic revenue growth in 2024. The India unit also saw double-digit growth in terms of snacks and beverage volumes during this period, the company said in its December quarterly and full-year earnings.

“For the full year, India, Egypt, Poland, and Turkey each delivered double-digit organic revenue growth, while South Africa, Brazil and Thailand delivered high-single-digit growth,” the company’s management noted in its prepared remarks.

The snacks and beverage major also said it either “gained or held savoury snack share“ in markets like India, China, Brazil, Australia, South Africa, Poland and Colombia among others.

Talking about the performance of Africa, Middle East and South Asia (AMESA) region, PepsiCo said, “Convenient foods’ unit volume grew 2 per cent, primarily reflecting mid-single-digit growth in South Africa and double-digit growth in India, partially offset by double-digit declines in the Middle East and Pakistan.”

“Beverage unit volume grew 1 per cent, primarily reflecting double-digit growth in India, partially offset by a low-single-digit decline in the Middle East,” it added.

The snacks and beverage major stated that its “profitable” international growth was aided by various strategic measures. This included focus on expanding its international presence, “delivering more flavour and texture combination” to address local preferences and adapting price and pack architecture to offer more value and convenience among others.
