State-run Petronet LNG on Monday reported a 43 per cent y-o-y growth in its consolidated net profit at around ₹1,095 crore aided by better efficiency in operations and higher capacity utilisation.

On a sequential basis, the net profit of India’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) importer was higher by 21 per cent.

The CPSUs consolidated total income stood at around ₹12,513 crore during the March quarter in FY25, compared to ₹12,423 crore in Q3FY25 and ₹13,947 crore in Q4FY24.

“The robust financial performance of the current financial year was achieved due to efficiency in operations and higher capacity utilisation. Considering the robust performance, the Board of Directors of the company has recommended a final dividend of ₹3 per share,” Petronet LNG said.

Petronet’s consolidated total expenses were lower at ₹11,070 crore in Q4FY25 against ₹11,255 crore in Q3FY25 and ₹12,955 crore in Q4FY24. Its cost of materials consumed fell by 13 per cent y-o-y in Q4FY25 and 5 per cent y-o-y in FY25.

During Q4FY25, Petronet LNG’s Dahej terminal processed 189 trillion British thermal units (tBtu) of LNG as against 219 tBtu in Q4 FY24 and 213 tBtu in Q3FY25.

Volume processed

The overall LNG volume processed by the company in Q4FY25 was 205 tBtu, as against 234 tBtu in Q4FY24 and 228 tBtu in Q3FY25.

For FY25, Dahej terminal processed LNG volume of 876 tBtu as against 865 tBtu in FY24. The overall LNG volume processed by the company was highest ever, which stood at 934 tBtu, as against the LNG volume of 919 tBtu processed in the previous financial year.

During Q4FY25, the offtakers have made payment of outstanding use or pay dues of ₹360.94 crore pertaining to calendar year 2021, the company said.
