SPML Infra secures ₹385 crore Rajasthan water project

SPML Infra Limited has been awarded ₹385 crore contract for water infrastructure development in Rajasthan under the government’s Jal Jeevan Mission. The project involves building a Water Production & Supply System for Kekri-Sarwar Sector Package-III in Ajmer district.
The contract includes a 10-year Operation and Maintenance agreement, focusing on upgrading water supply infrastructure for the Kekri-Sarwar region. The project will draw water from Bisalpur Dam to enhance distribution systems in Ajmer district.
Key project components include construction of a 160 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Kekri, two Clear Water Reservoirs with combined capacity of 37.75 MLD, and laying 58.675 kilometers of MS Pipeline from WTP Kekri to IPS Nasirabad. The infrastructure will feature advanced pumping systems, SCADA monitoring technology, and associated electrical and mechanical equipment.
The project also involves demolishing existing structures and constructing new office buildings and quarters at the proposed location. The entire system will be monitored through SCADA for real-time operational control.
SPML Infra Chairman Subhash Sethi said the project represents the company’s commitment to supporting the government’s vision of providing safe drinking water to every household. The Kolkata-based company has executed over 700 projects across power, water, environment, and technology sectors, serving over 50 million people with clean drinking water facilities.
The shares of SPML Infra Limited ended today at ₹274.35 up by ₹0.57 or 0.21 per cent on the NSE.
