State-owned SIDCO posted ₹238 crore turnover

About ₹2 crore worth of parts were manufactured for India’s flagship project ‘Gaganyaan’ through SIDCO’s Olavanna Tool Room.
Kerala SIDCO, a public sector undertaking under the Industries Department, has doubled its operating profit and took the turnover to a nine-year high of ₹238 crore.
The company achieved an operating profit of ₹2.83 crore in 2024-25. The turnover in the previous fiscal was ₹202 crore and an operating profit of ₹1.41 crore.
The fact that SIDCO was able to achieve a turnover of over ₹200 crore for the third consecutive year by effectively implementing the industry-friendly policy will be an inspiration and encouragement to MSME units, said Industries Minister P Rajeeve.
The turnover of ₹156.61 crore achieved by SIDCO’s raw material division is the highest in the last nine years. SIDCO was able to provide marketing assistance to 264 MSME units with a turnover of ₹50 crore in the last financial year, said Chairman C P Murali.

R Jayashankar, Managing Director said that with the support of the State government, intensive efforts will be made to promote the small industry sector. Priority will be given to ensuring the benefits of various Central and State schemes for the small industry sector in the State and to resolving the problems of entrepreneurs. Steps will be taken to ensure maximum availability of raw materials required by small industry entrepreneurs through SIDCO and provide marketing assistance to entrepreneurs in the most transparent manner, he added.
