Fast-moving consumer Goods (FMCG) maker Tata Consumer Products Ltd’s Q3 consolidated profit remained flat at ₹278 crore on higher expenses and input costs though revenue rose 16.82 per cent on good volumes in the beverages segment.

The company reported a group EBITDA margin of 13 per cent in Q3. The company stated that the tea prices continued to remain elevated with North India tea prices coming off the highs towards the end of the plucking season but remain elevated year-on-year. The South Indian tea prices were also year-on-year higher.

In the domestic business, the company’s beverages registered a 9 per cent growth while the food business revenue grew by 31 per cent. The total revenue from operations saw a 5.43 per cent increase at ₹4,214 crore reported in Q2.

The company stated that its e-commerce channel grew 59 per cent and modern trade recorded 14 per cent growth during the quarter. Capital Foods and Organic India acquired by the company crossed a combined revenue of ₹850 crore.

The international business revenue grew by 8 per cent. Tata Starbucks, the company added 16 new stores during the quarter and entered 4 new cities. The total number of stores of Tata Starbucks is 473 across 74 cities.

“We delivered a topline growth of 17 per cent in Q3 FY25, growth was broad-based with a strong performance in India Beverages and Foods. During the quarter, we recorded robust double-digit growth in the Indian tea business, backed by strong volume growth. There has been continued momentum & market share gain in the India salt business and strong growth in Tata Sampann. Our recent acquisitions- Capital Foods and Organic India performed well and we are expanding these businesses in the Food Service and pharma channels respectively.” said Sunil D’Souza, Managing Director & CEO of Tata Consumer Products.
