In UK, both the blast furnaces were closed in 2Q FY25 and presently, the company is servicing customers through downstream processing of purchased substrate. Deliveries stood at 2.5 mt, adversely impacted by subdued demand dynamics, it said.

Once fully ramped up, the total crude steel capacity at Vijayanagar will increase to 17.5 mpta, contributing to JSW Steel’s overall Indian operation’s crude steel capacity at 34.2 mtpa, said the company.
