Apollo Hospitals partners with Indonesia’s Mayapada Healthcare Group


Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd (AHEL), a leading hospital chain, has entered into a partnership with Indonesia’s Mayapada Healthcare Group to enhance healthcare services in the region. The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Indonesia’s Health Minister, Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

As part of the agreement, Apollo Hospitals will provide management support for Mayapada Healthcare’s new hospital in Batam, Indonesia. The collaboration will also focus on developing specialised programmes in areas such as oncology, cardiology, neurology, and transplant surgery. Additionally, Apollo will deploy up to 1,000 specialists, including doctors, nurses, and technicians, to support Mayapada’s facilities, according to a statement.

The partnership will introduce advanced technologies like Tele-Radiology, E-ICU, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to improve patient care.

The partnership will also offer online education for healthcare professionals through Apollo’s Medvarsity platform and introduce a Double Degree Nursing Program to give Indonesian professionals global exposure. Mayapada Healthcare and Apollo Hospitals will also run Continuing Medical Education (CME) programmes and organise international healthcare events to support professional development.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, mentioned that the partnership marks an important step in extending world-class healthcare to Indonesia. He explained that by collaborating with Mayapada Healthcare Group, Apollo aims to bring its clinical expertise, advanced technologies, and best practices to the region, to improve access to quality care and patient outcomes.
