Blue Star expands presence in commercial refrigeration, eyes double-digit growth

Cooling products maker Blue Star is focusing on strengthening its presence in the commercial refrigeration segment eyeing double-digit growth from the segment. The company said that sales of air-conditioners have seen an uptick as it aims to garner 25 per cent growth in the segment.

The company on Wednesday launched a comprehensive range of commercial refrigerator products for the summer of 2025, specifically designed to meet diverse refrigeration needs.

Double digit growth

He said the size of the commercial refrigeration segment is pegged in the range of ₹4500-5000 crore and Blue Star has 30 per cent market share of the segment. The company is eyeing double digit growth in the commercial refrigeration segment.

“Every Kirana shop now aspires to sell frozen or dairy products. Consumption of ice cream is increasing even in smaller towns. The retailers or the Kirana shop owners want to have a chest freezer for selling ice cream, a display case or a visi cooler for selling the cold beverages,” he said.

Responding to a query regarding AC sales, he added, “ The AC segment is doing extremely well and is seeing a strong uptick. We are looking at garnering 25-30 per cent growth in this segment.”

He added that with the impositions of tariffs one will need to see how the global economy shapes up especially in terms of US consumption trends.
