Bosch India gets ₹20-cr tax demand notice from IT department


The Indian unit of the German engineering and technology giant Bosch has received a demand notice exceeding ₹20 crore from the Income Tax department for the assessment year 2022-23.

According to the assessment order dated March 28, 2025, the company has been served a tax demand of ₹18.36 crore, along with an interest charge of ₹1.80 crore, bringing the total liability to over ₹20 crore, the company said in its regulatory filing.

The company is in the process of filing an appeal. It confirmed that no penalty has been quantified in the order.

The shares of Bosch was at ₹28,282.35, down by 0.17 per cent on the BSE.
