Data Patterns reports 12% decline in PAT in Q3’25
Chennai-based Data Patterns, an integrated defence and aerospace electronics solution provider, reported a 12 per cent decline in net profit to ₹45 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024 from ₹51 crore for the same quarter last year. Total revenue declined 15 per cent to ₹129 crore (₹151 crore).
S Rangarajan, Chairman & Managing Director, Data Patterns (India) Ltd, in a release said, “Revenue for the quarter was impacted due to delay in receipt of order and also deferment of delivery of completed products by a customer. Despite some deferment in deliveries from the customer’s end during the quarter, we saw a raise in margins due to the product mix. As we head into Q4, we are optimistic about achieving the full year performance,” he said.
The company remains committed towards maintaining a revenue growth rate of 20-25 per cent, the company’s investor presentation says.
Orders on hand as of date was ₹1,095 crore while negotiation completed and yet to receive order was ₹89 crore, said a release.
Data Patterns’ competencies include design and development across electronic hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, product prototype including its testing, validation and verification. Its involvement has been across radars, electronic warfare suites, communications, avionics, small satellites, automated test equipment, Commercial Off-The-Shelf COTS and programmes catering to Tejas Light Combat Aircraft, Light Utility Helicopter and BrahMos. It works with defence PSUs such as Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd and Bharat Electronics Ltd as well as government organisations involved in defence and space research like DRDO and ISRO.
The company’s share price on the NSE closed at ₹1,962, down ₹65.20 or by 3.22 per cent.
