Emvee Energy, a Bengaluru-based manufacturer of high-quality solar photovoltaic panels, and modules has announced plans to invest ₹15,000 crore in a phased manner to establish a manufacturing plant.
Large and Medium Industries Minister MB Patil confirmed the investment on Thursday, stating that the company will initially invest ₹5,000 crore to set up a facility with a 5 GW power generation capacity, creating 10,000 jobs. Emvee Energy has sought 120 acres of land in the Bengaluru IT Investment Region (ITIR) for the project, and the government will facilitate this request after due consideration, he added.
Patil shared these details after meeting senior company representatives at Vidhana Soudha. He noted that this investment is part of the proposals for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed during the recently concluded Global Investors Meet (GIM) – Invest Karnataka 2025.
Earlier in the day, the minister also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for Krones’ ₹315 crore manufacturing plant at Vemagal, another key investment initiative from GIM.
