Ola Electric launches Gen 3; with 8 new scooters across mass and premium segments
EV maker Ola Electric has launched its S1 Gen 3 portfolio with the new lineup starting at ₹79,999 for the S1 X (2kWh) and going up to ₹1,69,999 for the flagship S1 Pro+ 5.3kWh (introductory prices).
The new portfolio is led by the S1 Pro+ 5.3kWh, powered by the advanced 4680 Bharat Cell, with a price tag of ₹1,69,999. A 4kWh variant is also available for ₹1,54,999.
Meanwhile, the S1 Pro comes in two battery options: 4kWh, priced at ₹1,34,999, and 3kWh, available for ₹1,14,999.
The S1 X range starts at ₹79,999 for the 2kWh variant followed by ₹89,999 for 3kWh and ₹99,999 for 4kWh. The S1 X+ (4kWh) is priced at ₹1,07,999.
Ola Electric also announced that its Gen 2 scooters would continue to retail with discounts of up to ₹35,000.
The revised starting price for S1 Pro is ₹1,14,999, while the S1 X (2kWh, 3k Wh, and 4kWh) models are now available at ₹69,999, ₹79,999 and ₹89,999, respectively.
Scooters for every Indian
“With Gen 2, we made our scooters smarter, and more accessible by expanding our portfolio with scooters for every Indian across every price range. Today, with Gen 3, we are taking the EV 2W industry to the ‘Next Level’. Gen 3 is bringing unmatched performance, superior efficiency and reinventing benchmarks we set for ourselves, and which will change the industry all over again,” said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman & Managing Director, Ola Electric.
The EV manufacturer will start delivering its Gen 3 scooters in mid-February. Simultaneously, it will also roll out the beta version of MoveOS 5, giving Ola riders access to several new features such as Smartwatch App, Road Trip Mode, Live Location Sharing, among others.
This follows the introduction of two new electric scooter models, the S1 Z and Gig, aimed at gig economy workers and cost-conscious consumers in November 2024. The company has also expanded its service centres to 4,000 in Novemberlast year to address the complaints.
Impressive growth
According to the latest Vahan data, Ola Electric recorded 22,656 registrations in January, marking an impressive 65 per cent month-on-month growth.
The company’s share price closed at ₹74.79 up by 11.88 per cent on the BSE.
