Tamilnadu Petroproducts reports ₹10 crore Q3 PAT, appoints D Senthi Kumar as MD


Tamilnadu Petroproducts Ltd (TPL) has reported a standalone profit after tax (PAT) of ₹10 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, compared to ₹2 crore in the same period of FY21.

Revenue for the quarter increased to ₹465 crore from ₹352 crore in the December 2023 quarter. EBITDA (earnings before interest, depreciation, and tax) rose to ₹23 crore from ₹12 crore. However, profit before tax and exceptional items stood at ₹15 crore, down from ₹18 crore, according to a company statement.

During Q3, the company incurred ₹0.86 crore in expenses for material damage and plant restoration activities due to Cyclone Michaung (December 2023). This has been recognised as an exceptional item(₹14.47 crore in Q3FY24).

“Our Q3 results reflect revenue growth and improved profitability despite macroeconomic challenges. This performance is driven by optimal production planning, efficient cost management, and better realisations amid competition,” said Ashwin Muthiah, Vice Chairman – TPL and Founder Chairman, AM International, Singapore.

The company also said D Senthi Kumar, Whole-time Director (Operations), was elevated to Managing Director with immediate effect. The Board appointed Manish Nagpal as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Non-Independent) and C Parthiban as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 12, 2025.
